2006: 40 IN. BY 60 IN. SANDBLASTED AND STAINED WOOD SIGN WITH GILDED LETTERS.
PLAZA GALERIA MARKETPLACE ON THE PLAZA. DOWNTOWN SANTA FE.

        Most sandblasted signs are designed using computer graphic applications and constructed
        with 1.5 - 2  in. thick cedar, redwood or sugar pine.  Individual boards are laminated with
        exterior, waterproof glue to form the desired finish size.  This new blank board is covered
        with a special computer pre-cut, rubber-like mask with the final composition.  After sand-
        blasting,  borders and other selected portions are left standing out giving the final work its
        three - dimensionality.  Mask is removed and surfaces are sealed with exterior primer and
        finished with high - quality exterior paints.  The last detail work is done with fine brushes
        using the highest quality exterior sign painters' oil paints.
